Why We Built This Site
Michigan provides several public access routes, yet each answers a different question. The Clinton County Sheriff keeps sheriff reports and jail material. Court clerks keep filed charges, dockets, and dispositions. Michigan State Police operates ICHAT and the central repository, while MDOC and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry cover separate custody, supervision, and registration records. We bring those official routes into one local reference so a court judgment is not confused with a booking entry or name-based state result.
What You Will Find Here

- Official check steps: how Michigan name-based and fingerprint personal-review products differ
- Agency contacts: how to reach the Sheriff, court clerks, and Michigan record systems
- Record relief orientation: where Michigan set-aside forms and Clinton filing channels begin
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with a Michigan court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Those boundaries matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file set-aside applications, record requests, or other paperwork on anyone's behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing agency, such as the Sheriff, court clerk, or Michigan State Police, can provide an official criminal record. We identify the route, but the document must come from its custodian.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their products, results, and prices. If a visitor follows one of those tools and purchases a service, we may receive a referral payment that supports this resource. We do not set the provider's fees or decide what its results contain.
